Britney Spears and Elton John Soon To Release ‘Hold Me Closer’

Elton John has received critical acclaim for his 2021 hit "Cold Cold Heart," an amalgamation of two of his originals, "Rocket Man" and "Sacrifice." Now he is collaborating with Britney Spears on a duet called "Hold Me Closer." A release for the much anticipated single has yet to be announced.

This song will mark Britney's first release since her 2016 album, Glory. Spears has been under a legal conservatorship since 2008, which was terminated in November of 2021 after a legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears, who was her conservator.

In a recent interview with Paul Barewijk, celebrity Paris Hilton offered her praise. "It's gonna be iconic," she said about the new single. "I just heard it a couple days ago in Ibiza and it is … it's insane."
